Acceptable Use Policy

Rules for fair, lawful and respectful participation on NKsereke — for customers, vendors and riders alike.

01 Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the standards of behaviour expected from everyone who uses the NKsereke platform — our mobile app, website, vendor dashboard, rider portal and all associated services (collectively, "the Platform").

Using the Platform means you agree to follow this AUP in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. This AUP exists to protect the safety, fairness and integrity of every transaction on NKsereke.

â„šī¸ Our core commitment NKsereke is built on trust between customers, vendors and riders. This policy defines the baseline behaviours that maintain that trust. Violations are taken seriously, regardless of user type.

02 Who This Policy Applies To

This policy applies to all users of the NKsereke platform, including:

03 Prohibited Activities — All Users

The following are strictly prohibited for all users of the NKsereke platform:

Fraud & Deception

  • Creating false, misleading or duplicate accounts
  • Submitting fraudulent orders, chargebacks or refund requests
  • Impersonating another person, business or NKsereke staff
  • Using stolen payment credentials or identity information
  • Manipulating ratings, reviews or feedback through fake activity

Platform Abuse

  • Reverse-engineering, scraping or attempting to access the platform's backend systems
  • Introducing malware, viruses or any harmful code
  • Attempting to circumvent NKsereke's payment system by transacting directly off-platform
  • Using automated bots, scripts or tools to interact with the platform without approval
  • Overloading or disrupting platform services through denial-of-service or similar attacks

Conduct

  • Harassing, threatening or abusing any other user, vendor, rider or NKsereke staff member
  • Using the platform's messaging system for spam, unsolicited promotions or phishing
  • Sharing other users' personal information without their consent
  • Any activity that violates applicable Nigerian law or international sanctions
đŸšĢ Zero Tolerance Any involvement in money laundering, terrorist financing, or trading in illegal goods or controlled substances results in immediate, permanent account termination and mandatory reporting to relevant Nigerian authorities.

04 Vendor-Specific Rules

Vendors are the backbone of the NKsereke marketplace. In addition to Section 3, vendors must observe the following:

Listings & Product Information

  • All product listings must be accurate, complete and not misleading
  • Prices shown must be the actual price charged — hidden fees or bait-and-switch pricing is prohibited
  • Product images must represent the actual item being sold
  • Out-of-stock items must be promptly marked unavailable; repeated fulfilment failures may result in suspension
  • Vendors must not list items in categories where they do not belong

Order Fulfilment

  • Vendors must accept or reject orders promptly — failure to respond within the stated window results in automatic cancellation
  • Once accepted, orders must be prepared within the vendor's stated preparation time
  • Items must be properly packaged to withstand delivery
  • Vendors must not instruct customers to transact outside the NKsereke platform

Compliance & Standards

  • Food vendors must comply with NAFDAC and state health requirements
  • Vendors selling regulated goods must hold and maintain valid licences
  • Vendors must maintain the KYC documentation submitted during onboarding as current and accurate
  • Any material change to business ownership or identity must be reported to NKsereke within 14 days
📊 Performance Standards Vendors are expected to maintain a minimum average rating of 3.5 stars and an order fulfilment rate above 90%. Persistent underperformance triggers a formal review and may result in listing demotion or suspension.

05 Prohibited Products & Services

The following categories of products and services may not be listed or sold on NKsereke under any circumstances:

Gambling servicesUnlicensed lottery, betting or gaming products
Hate materialsContent promoting hatred, discrimination or violence based on identity

NKsereke reserves the right to remove any listing it deems inappropriate, even if not explicitly named above, at its sole discretion.


06 Rider-Specific Rules

Riders are representatives of the NKsereke brand in the field. In addition to the general prohibitions in Section 3:

  • Riders must only accept deliveries they intend to complete — abandoning orders without reporting the reason is prohibited
  • Riders must handle all packages with reasonable care and must not open, tamper with or consume any order
  • Riders must follow traffic laws and road safety regulations at all times
  • Riders must not request additional payments from customers beyond the fare shown in the app
  • Riders must maintain the vehicle and equipment standards required during onboarding
  • Riders must remain reachable while marked as available on the app
  • Sharing account credentials or allowing another person to use your rider account is strictly prohibited

07 Intellectual Property

Users must not upload, post or share any content on the NKsereke platform that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party, including copyrights, trademarks, patents or trade secrets.

By uploading product images, descriptions or other content to the platform, vendors grant NKsereke a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content for the purposes of operating and marketing the marketplace.

The NKsereke name, logo, branding and platform design are proprietary to NKsereke Technologies Ltd. Unauthorised use of our brand assets for any commercial purpose is prohibited.


08 Enforcement & Consequences

NKsereke takes violations of this policy seriously. Depending on the nature and severity of the breach, consequences may include:

Users have the right to appeal any enforcement decision by contacting compliance@nksereke.com within 14 days of the action being taken. Appeals are reviewed by a senior team member not involved in the original decision.

âš ī¸ Fund Holds Where fraud or financial crime is suspected, NKsereke may place an immediate hold on wallet balances while an investigation is conducted. This is a precautionary measure and does not constitute a finding of guilt.

09 Reporting Violations

If you witness behaviour that violates this policy, please report it immediately:

  • 📋 Support ticket: Open a ticket via Help → Report an Issue

All reports are treated confidentially. Malicious or false reports made in bad faith are themselves a violation of this policy.

đŸ›Ąī¸ Whistleblower Protection NKsereke will not take adverse action against any user who reports a genuine concern in good faith, even if the investigation does not result in a finding against the reported party.

10 Policy Updates

NKsereke may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements or industry best practices. We will notify users of material changes via the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect.

Continued use of the platform after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. This policy is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
